Crocker Parent Group
The Crocker Parent Group's (CPG) mission is to support Crocker School students, Crocker School staff, and provide community building activities for Crocker families.  Our purpose is to promote the welfare of the children attending Crocker Middle School and to encourage cooperation among parents, teachers, administrators, and school board trustees. As part of the Associated Parents' Group (APG) of Hillsborough, CPG supports all Crocker families to feel well informed and connected to our outstanding community.

PRESIDENT: Presides at all meetings of the Parent Group and the Executive Board. Writes a letter for the Viking Newsletter once a month. Attends Roundtable meetings, APG meetings and functions, School board meetings and School Site Council meetings. Must have been on the CPG board within the previous three terms.

VICE PRESIDENT VOLUNTEERS: Appoints and directs all committee chairpersons, manages volunteer committees on Parent Communications Platform,  assumes the duties of the President should he/she be unable to do so. Attends all Parent Group and Executive Board meetings.

TREASURER: Is responsible for the proper accounting of all receipts, disbursements and financial statements for the Parent Group. Forms the Parent Group budget in conjunction with the board. Attends all Parent Group and Executive Board meetings. A two-year term is desired.

COMMUNICATIONS REPRESENTATIVES: Attends all Parent Group and Executive Board meetings. 1) Newsletter Coordinator: Collects information to create the Viking Newsletter for publication and sends out  updates on the Parent Communications Platform.  2) Social Media/Parent Communications Platform Coordinator: Manages the Crocker social media account and Coordinates updates, messages, and grade specific information for distribution via the Parent Communications Platform with event chairs and grade level reps on the Board.

SECRETARY: Keeps minutes at all Executive Board meetings and Parent Education meetings. Keeps or appoints someone to keep the message board updated and works with the Vice President Communications to put together the Newsletter. Coordinates and sends reminders for the Crocker Staff snacks for monthly meetings.  Attends all Parent Group and Executive Board meetings.

TRUSTEE REPRESENTATIVE: Attends all open meetings of the school board and reports pertinent information to the Parent Group. Attends all Parent Group and Executive Board meetings.

PARENT NETWORKING REPRESENTATIVE: Appoints and directs 6th, 7th, and 8th grade Parent Networking Meeting chairpersons. Collaborates with grade level chairpersons to execute grade-specific coffees, socials, and networking events. Attends all Parent Group and Executive Board meetings.

6TH GRADE PARENT REPRESENTATIVES: Acts as liaison between Board and parents of 6th grade students. Works with all Board members on grade-specific activities and initiatives, manages and sends grade- specific messaging through the Parent Communications Platform to 6th grade families, helps coordinate Staff Appreciation Week, and helps with the 8th grade graduation ceremony. Attends all Parent Group and Executive Board meetings.

7TH GRADE PARENT REPRESENTATIVES: Acts as liaison between Board and parents of 7th grade students.
