The Center for Expanding Viewpoints in Higher Education (CEVIHE) maintains a
student leadership structure to ensure that students across Tufts University play a
central role in shaping the Center’s work and that they have a space for
cross-campus engagement. We invite you to apply for one or more of the following opportunities.
- Student Advisory Board – A selective group of sophomores, juniors, and seniors who meet every two weeks to provide consistent guidance to the Center, assist with programming and student outreach, serve as ambassadors across campus, mentor first-years, and propose new initiatives.
- Student Organizations Council – A broad, inclusive network of political, media, cultural, religious, and advocacy student organizations, with one representative from each participating club, that convenes monthly to discuss campus issues and explore collaboration opportunities.
- Student Conference Committee – A small, project-based team selected from the student advisors to organize the Expanding Viewpoints Symposium, CEVIHE's flagship conference at the end of the academic year that brings together undergraduates across Greater Boston for sustained, thoughtful discussion on contentious public affairs and social and political issues.
Each body serves a distinct purpose, and together they foster engagement across differences, amplify student voices, and strengthen civic and public life throughout the university.
The 2026-2027 academic year application deadline is Friday, July 17, but the Organizations Council also accepts applications on a rolling basis. Please contact us with any questions or input you may have.
