SJU Institute for Environmental Stewardship's Storytelling Festival
The Institute for Environmental Stewardship will host the SJU Storytelling Festival at the Barnes Arboretum at SJU. The festival will hold events on Friday May 5 and Saturday May 6, 2023. Please select your options below to let us know that you are coming! There will be 50 outdoor seats near the stage on a first come, first serve basis. You are welcome to bring a picnic lunch, blankets and lawn chairs for your comfort.

The Schedule of Events

Friday May 5

10 AM              Storytelling Workshop
11 AM              Open Mic for Storytelling, Poetry, or Musical Performance*
11 AM - 1 PM  Guided Tours of the Barnes Arboretum
1 PM - 4 PM    Featured Storytellers

Saturday May 6

10 AM              Children's Storytelling
11 AM              Open Mic for Storytelling, Poetry, or Musical Performance*
11 AM - 1 PM  Guided Tours of the Barnes Arboretum
1 PM - 4 PM    Featured Storytellers

* Registration is required for the open mic time. Performances should last no more than 7 minutes. Two microphones will be available for use on the stage.
