Black LGBTQIA+ Cultural Preservation Mini Grant Application
Thank you for your interest in applying for the Black LGBTQ+ Cultural Preservation Mini Grant. This is the formal Application provided by the Homeless Children's Network (HCN). Special thanks to our Partners: SF Office of Economic and Workforce Development and Dream Keeper Initiative.

Please read the information below and then answer the following questions to complete the Application and note that completion of the application process is not a guarantee of funds, as funding is meant to support a multitude of programs.

Grant Amounts are between $500-$10,000 depending on the size and scope of event/festival. If there are multiple collaborating entities, it is possible the Grant request can increase.

Purpose
We provide community grants for Black LGBTQ+ events and festivals that cultivate Black LGBTQ+ legacy while also strengthening collaboration with Black LGBTQ+ communities and highlighting the voices of marginalized communities, such as LGBTQ+ people, those experiencing housing insecurity, those with disabilities, and seniors.
Neighborhood Served
This grant benefits the following historically Black San Francisco neighborhoods: Bayview-Hunters
Point, Fillmore/Western Addition, Ocean View-Merced Heights Ingleside, Potrero Hill, and Visitacion
Valley. The grantee must be familiar with one or more of these neighborhood legacies, either through
research or personal experience.
