Grand Haven Hispanic Heritage Fiesta (hereafter, GHHHF)
September 21, 2024, 11 am - 10pm, City of Grand Haven Central Park
EVENT FEES
• There is a fee of $100 (For-profit) and $50 (Non-Profit) per booth, due no later than Monday,
July 15, 2024.
• There will be no refunds to the Vendor for acts of God, inclement weather, power failures, or any other reason whatsoever that may cause the Vendor not to be able to operate the booth. If, after the Agreement is signed, for whatever reason, the Vendor is unable to be a Vendor, the booth fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.
• If risks from the COVID-19 pandemic unexpectedly increase such that the Mercado needs to be canceled or severely restricted, TCPI will give Vendors the opportunity of a refund.
• Please complete this form. Then make payment (cashier check or money order) payable to Greater Ottawa County United Way (“GHHHF” in the memo line) and send to GOCUW C/O Erin Kamphuis at PO Box 1349, Holland, MI 49422-1349. OR Pay online by entering the amount owed at https://grandhavenfiesta.org/support/. Please be aware that a processing fee will apply when submitting an online payment.
BOOTH SET-UP & CLEAN-UP
• Mercado Vendors will provide their own 10x10 canopy tent for the assigned booth area. Vendors will provide all equipment and resources to operate the booth, including chairs if needed. Tents may not be staked in the park; use water buckets or sandbags.
• Vendor to begin set up of booth no earlier than 8:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 21, 2024. All booths must be set up by 10:00 a.m.
• The event itself ends at 10:00 p.m., on Saturday, September 21, but the Mercado closes at 5:00p.m. Tear-down can begin no earlier than 5:00 p.m.
• Vendor will remain open for the entire duration of the festival date and times stated in this agreement, with at least one volunteer or staff person present. The area around the booth will be clean and free of litter and Vendor will always dispose of refuse in appropriate containers.
PARKING
• Vendor to secure parking space from legally available spaces. Any illegally parked vehicles will be ticketed or towed at the owner’s expense without prior warning. Note that parking is available in the Ottawa County Parking Lot, open after 5 p.m. on weekdays and on weekends. (A map of possible parking locations will be provided)
• All vehicles must be off 4th & Columbus from 4th-5th no later than 8:00 a.m.
VENDOR NOTES
• Merchandise Vendor items may include but are not limited to clothing, jewelry, etc. There may be other vendors who will be selling similar or the exact items next to or at a nearby location. The vendor is to obtain the proper sales tax license and agrees to be responsible for the payment of any sales tax or any other taxes and will pay such taxes to the proper governmental authority. Vendors may not sell: laser pointers, silly string, illegally copied tapes, CDs, T-shirts, or any items that may be perceived as drug-related paraphernalia.
• Packaging/containers may not display the Grand Haven Hispanic Heritage Fiesta, City of Grand Haven, or any logo other than the Vendor’s own.
• Vendor is solely being given access to space at the GHHHF under this agreement. The vendor, or its volunteers or associates, will not have the authority to represent any other individual(s) or organization(s) that she/he is a representative or employee of the Grand Haven Hispanic Heritage Fiesta, the City of Grand Haven, or any festival sponsor/contributor.
• Vendor understands that GHHHF will provide security during official festival hours; however, Vendor agrees items of value left in the booth are at Vendor risk.
I have read the agreement, and if selected to participate, I will comply with the terms. I understand that my signature on this document does not guarantee participation. The GHHHF reserves the right to select all vendors. The GHHHF has sole discretion of the location of Vendor’s Mercado booth.
