NCBWLI High School Scholarship Application
We are pleased to announce that during the 2017-2018 school year, the National Coalition of 100 Black Women, Long Island Chapter will offer four scholarships ($500 each) to worthy Female High School Seniors of African descent from Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

Deadline: applications must be submitted online via this form OR paper form mailed and postmarked by April 13, 2018.

Finalists will be notified for an in person interview scheduled to be held the week of April 23, 2018. You will receive notification of our decisions within the first week of May 2018. Scholarship funds will be released to awardees upon receipt of an official Verification Letter/Form attesting to their enrollment at a college/university. This document may be obtained from the registrar or business office of the college/university.

Scholarship Criteria
To be considered, an applicant for a scholarship from the National Coalition of 100 Black Women Long Island Chapter, students must meet the following criteria:

1. Be a fourth (4th) year Senior High School Female student of African descent.
2. Be enrolled in a high school in the counties of Nassau or Suffolk.
3. Be a high school senior in good standing.
4. Have applied to a four (4) year college or university.
5. Demonstrate excellent academic achievement (80 average), good citizenship, and participation in school and/or community activities.
6. Each application will only be complete with the following attachments:

c. Two letters of recommendation. One must be from a guidance counselor. The other recommendation letter can come from a teacher, other school personnel, or a community organization representative. Letters of recommendation must be emailed directly from recommender to
