Finalists will be notified for an in person interview scheduled to be held the week of April 23, 2018. You will receive notification of our decisions within the first week of May 2018. Scholarship funds will be released to awardees upon receipt of an official Verification Letter/Form attesting to their enrollment at a college/university. This document may be obtained from the registrar or business office of the college/university.

1. Be a fourth (4th) year Senior High School Female student of African descent.2. Be enrolled in a high school in the counties of Nassau or Suffolk. 3. Be a high school senior in good standing. 4. Have applied to a four (4) year college or university. 5. Demonstrate excellent academic achievement (80 average), good citizenship, and participation in school and/or community activities. 6. Each application will only be complete with the following attachments:a. Emailed copy of high school transcript by Guidance counselor to firstname.lastname@example.org. Personal statement (included in this online application) c. Two letters of recommendation. One must be from a guidance counselor. The other recommendation letter can come from a teacher, other school personnel, or a community organization representative. Letters of recommendation must be emailed directly from recommender to email@example.com.
