Getting to the Reporting Venue
We will first gather at the Pulau Ubin Assembly Area (Meeting Point 1) before taking a 15-minute walk down Jalan Ubin to Kampung Sungei Durian for our clean-up.

You can get to Pulau Ubin by hopping onto a bumboat at the:

Bumboat fares cost S$4.00 per pax for a single trip. Bumboats will only depart once there are 12 passengers. 

No purchase of tickets is required and cash payment is to be made to the respective bumboat operators upon departure.

A ride lasts an average of 10 to 15 minutes, while queues may snake and take up anywhere between 5 - 30 minutes to clear on any given weekend. Therefore, you are encouraged to be at the ferry terminal by 8.30 a.m. to avoid inconveniences.

Advisory and Disclaimer
ACCIDENT AND EMERGENCY
In the event of an emergency, the Pulau Ubin Police Coast Guard shall be activated to provide assistance. Should it be deemed necessary, participant(s)-of-concern shall be medically evacuated to the nearest medical facility at Changi General Hospital. WUJ shall not be held liable or accountable for any injury or loss of property or life before, during, and after the event.

ADULT SUPERVISION FOR CHILDREN AGED 12 AND BELOW
The clean-up is open to individuals of all ages. However, children under the age of 12 must be under adult supervision throughout the activity.

ATTIRE
Participants are encouraged to wear comfortable covered-clothing to protect themselves from insect bites and the sun. This includes, but not restricted to, caps, covered shoes, long pants, arm sleeves etc. You are also encouraged to bring along insect repellent.

CASH
The clean-up is free-of-charge but participants are to cover their own transport and commercial expenses to, from and within the island. Please be advised to bring sufficient cash as that is the only mode of payment available and that there are no ATMs available on the island.

COVID-19
You may wish to conduct an ART before coming to the tour, but need not submit the result over as proof. However, if you have tested positive or suspect that you may still be infected despite a negative result, or are generally feeling unwell, you are not allowed to participate in the activity for your and other participants' safety, and especially so for the elderly residents who you might be interacting with during the clean-up.

INCLEMENT WEATHER
In the event of inclement weather during the tour, participants are to seek shelter at the nearest available public shelters or residential kampung houses where applicable.

INDIVIDUALS WITH MEDICAL/PHYSICAL CONDITIONS
The clean-up is conducted on-foot, spans three hours and requires a moderate level of labour. Individuals with medical or physical conditions must monitor their health prior to and during the activity.

LUNCH
Please be informed that lunch is not provided and that participants are to bring their own snacks should they wish to. You may wish to have a heavy breakfast before the activity or patronise from the food stalls/ restaurants on the island after dismissal from the Assembly Area. For Muslim participants, please be informed there is only one Halal eatery available.

WILDLIFE ENCOUNTER
There is possibility of encountering wildlife such as wild boars and monkeys throughout the tour. Participants are strongly advised to not bring along plastic bags or have any food and plastic water bottles exposed as these animals have been reported snatching them away from people.
