In 2016, Tilde is partnering with the Arts Centre Melbourne to deliver a week-long intensive, practice-based course in new music and improvisation, including workshops, rehearsals, computer music, field recording, and the history and context of practice in this field. You will work with leading practitioners in the field and develop your practice in this intensive academy.
There will be performance outcomes as part of the Tilde New Music Festival 2016, held on the 23rd of January 2016, and installation of the computer music works at Tilde and/or at the Arts Centre Melbourne.

Requirements for performance stream:
-- AMEB Grade 5 (or equivalent) or above.
Requirements for computer music stream:
-- A degree of knowledge of usage of a computer (OSX, Windows, Linux)
-- Some understanding of composition and/or performance
-- Basic experience with one or more audio software packages: ie. Ableton Live, Logic, Pro Tools, MaxMSP, SuperCollider, Pure Data, etc.
-- Academy: 9am-4pm, Monday 18th to Friday 22nd January 2016
-- Performances: Saturday 23rd January
