Cruel Consequences: Portraits of Misguided Law
Cruel Consequences is a portrait series exhibit to bring awareness to how cannabis charges in the U.S. are ruining lives. These portraits are part of both a physical traveling gallery exhibit which appeared across Virginia for Virginians and lawmakers to experience these powerful stories and now is expanding to cover unjust cannabis consequences across the U.S.

We are now expanding our portrait series and we are coming to NYC!
We are putting together a NY- Tri-state area series and will have a traveling exhibit and permanent installation in the NYC metro area to highlight drug war veterans from the Empire State.

Collateral consequences like denial of housing, employment, college loans, child custody etc. often last a lifetime after even the smallest of cannabis convictions. No matter how you feel about cannabis, most people agree people should not pay for life. Much of the public is not aware of these collateral consequences.

Please visit our website cruelconsequences.org to find out more and please like us on facebook, instagram, and twitter.

Please reach out to friends, family, other marijuana law reform supporters to help us find compelling stories that show the cruelty of the collateral consequences from criminal enforcement of cannabis prohibition.

Interested participants should submit their stories via this Google form.

Don't be afraid to tell your story. We respect your privacy and are able to tell your story without revealing your identity if you wish. Submit your information and we can call you to talk about options. Telling your story is important to the advancement of changing misguided cannabis laws.
