Adult Brain Health First Aid (ABHFA) is a course in which you will be certified to recognize potential signs and symptoms of adults in a brain health crisis and ways to appropriately respond. You can learn more about the National BHFA course here:

This course includes 8 hours of instruction, a course manual, snacks, a completion certificate, and a fun environment. ABHFA courses typically cost around $250 - The Avielle Foundation, in collaboration with the Resiliency Center of Newtown are offering it to you for free (of course, you are welcome to donate!).

The Certification course is 8 hours of class time. This time the course will take place on Tuesday, June 12 from 8-5. The course will be held in Newtown, at the Parent Connection Building in Fairfield Hills.

We require a minimum of 10 participants for the course to take place.

There will be plenty of breaks with snacks and drinks, however lunch will not be provided.

All Newtown residents are welcome - Students (15 years and up), parents, teachers, school staff, family, friends, health care providers, law enforcement, and anybody interested. Sign up here, with this form.
