How to sign up for shifts!

https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/15RjKad0xVJl5WRYaFieFt_nk6CCezgWyy6tb6wpFtn4/edit#gid=0 This is the link to our live public scheduling spreadsheet. It has an overview of what is going on at each time, and how many people are needed to do each job. This will be updated as our anticipated needs change. About 2 weeks before the con, once the class schedule is finalized, you will be able to add your name to the shifts you want to work.

    Info about each job

You will receive a detailed description of your job(s) before the convention. Volunteers are expected to read their job description(s) and talk with the volunteer coordinators about any questions they may have before the con. Registration/welcome/orientation - Help distribute badges and get people signed in. Educate people about venue/event rules. Tell people about unconference and partner finding options. Give people tours of the space if needed or hand off to orientation/welcome team. Kitchen - Help serve meals and clean up afterwards. All levels of skill welcome but we would LOVE a few more people who are passionate about food who can do things like make salads and side dishes. Dishwashing - The most important job in the kitchen. Setup - Chair setup and takedown, couch/dungeon furniture moving. Will need to know the plan for chair movement before the con starts so they are able to direct others to help. Signage - Put up signs at the beginning of con and refresh door signs and wall schedule daily. Rideshare - Specifically, volunteers to make themselves available during con hours in case someone needs a trip back to the hotel. Volunteer hours awarded only for during-con trips that lead to missing classes. Cleanup - During the con people needed to help throw things out and keep the space tidy. People needed at end of con to help load out, vacuum, mop, etc.
