This year we have identified six content areas that are the focus for strengthening the field of veteran and new CTE administrators of both secondary and post-secondary programs. Each submission must indicate which content area the proposed presentation addresses. They include:-- Innovative CTE Programs-- CTE Accountability/Data Driven Decisions-- CTE Program Review and/or Development -- Recruiting and Retaining Quality Instructors-- Advocacy-- Funding Solutions / Approaches
This is an excellent opportunity for you to showcase programs and to share your expertise with colleagues. A best practice is a practice that has empirical data documenting the best practice. An innovation is defined as a teacher, school and/or administrative practice that demonstrates innovations in career and technical education, but the practice has not yet been validated through empirical data.
The deadline to submit a proposal is 5 p.m. EST, March 3, 2017.
To have your session proposal considered for the program, please fully complete the form below. A maximum of two proposals per individual may be submitted, but each must be submitted individually. If you do not receive a confirmation message after submitting this form, please contact Michael Connet to verify the status of your submission.
The person submitting a proposal is the primary contact and is responsible for notifying all other participants of acceptance, rejection, scheduling and any other information provided by ACTE. All speakers are required to register for the conference and pay their own expenses (e.g. travel, lodging, etc.) A discounted registration rate of $250 is available exclusively for presenters. Please note, speakers being offered a session commitment for the conference must be able to present on either September 28 or 29, 2017.
Each proposal will be evaluated by a panel of reviewers and final decisions about the program will be made by April 1, 2017. Submitters will be notified about the status of their proposals via email after April 1, 2017. For more information about the conference please visit: www.acteonline.org/bestpractices
