2019 Cornell Undergraduate Stock Pitch Challenge Application Form

Date of event: September 12-13, 2019 Omni Parker House Hotel, 60 School Street, 02108, Boston, MA

The Cornell-Fidelity Undergraduate Stock Pitch Challenge is an intercollegiate stock pitch competition, designed to create awareness of investment management/equity research careers and facilitate students’ networking and recruiting opportunities in the field with sponsoring firms. We are looking for a 3 person team (ideally sophomores and juniors in the 2019-20 academic year, one of whom must be a woman). The competition is designed to simulate an equity analyst’s research and stock pitching process. Each school will send a team of 3 students to present their investment recommendations on two stocks from two assigned industries to attending judges and recruiters from sponsoring firms. Students will have one week to research their stocks. Resume books of participating students will be distributed to sponsoring firms. Cornell will arrange and cover lodging at the venue for participating students for the night of Sept. 12th (2 rooms per school for non-local schools - typically one shared room and one additional room for the three members of each school team).

Who Should Participate: Ideally sophomores and juniors in the 2019-20 academic year, though highly interested seniors may also apply, who are full-time college students interested in pursuing careers in investment management or equity research and are preferably still looking for internship or permanent employment opportunities. At least one member of the team should be female.

Statement of Interest: Please describe your team’s background, career goals, and why you would like to participate in this year’s SPC in the relevant section below. Please indicate how your team was selected. Upload your response (one per team) and resumes of all team members in the corresponding sections below.

If you have any questions, please reach out to Lakshmi Bhojraj, Breazzano Family Executive Director, Parker Center for Investment Research, at lr10@cornell.edu.
