The Textile Arts Center recently expanded into a new beautiful studio space, located right next to our main studio. This space is home to our AIR studios 9 months of the year, our 6 week summer camp, and occasional textile events. As we grow into our new addition, we are looking to provide studios for visual artists/designers. See below for information!

Perfect for designers and textile artists who need greater access to specialized textile equipment, TAC Studio Membership includes individual studio space in addition to access to TAC’s facilities and community. Rentals are currently available for short term month-to-month rentals and 1-2 year leases. Ideal candidates are community minded, supportive, and collaborative in spirit.

• 1-2 Year Lease: $700-750 mo.
• Monthly Lease: $800 mo.

**Studio shares are an additional $200 mo. per person


Printing: Dark room with large vacuum exposure unit (30x40),10yd yardage printing table with rails, 4 Color Printing Carousel, screen-print press and heat press, wash out booth and power washer, screens, emulsion, water-based inks for textile printing, upright steamer, stovetop steamer and drying rack.

Dye: Induction burners, dye pots, fiber reactive dyes, dye chemicals and mordants for both natural and synthetic dyes.

Sewing: 7 home sewing machines (4 Singer Heavy Duty and 3 Singer Confidence Stylists), 1 Singer home overlock machine, cutting and sewing tables, sewing thread, general-use and scrap fabric, irons, pressing hams, pattern-making tools and rulers.

Machine Knitting: 6 Brother standard gauge knitting machines (KH-860) and one bulky machine, combs, weights, hooks, and yarn. Ribbers also are available upon request.

Other: Spinning wheel (Louet S15), drop spindles, yarn in a variety of gauges, sizes, materials, and colors.

Weaving (rental only):

Schacht Wolf Pup looms -- 4 harnesses, 18" weaving width
Schacht Baby Wolf looms -- 4 and 8 harnesses, 26" weaving width
Macomber looms -- 16 harnesses, 30" and 40" weaving widths
AVL Dobby loom -- 24 harnesses, 60" weaving width

Ideal candidates are studio artists who are community minded, supportive, collaborative in spirit and work well in a bustling studio environment that caters to Adult Classes, Artist Residency, After School, Summer Camp and Studio Renters.
