2017 Greg's Ride: Ontario's Ride For Safer Cycling - Volunteer Application Form
The 12th Annual Greg’s Ride: Ontario’s Ride for Safer Cycling is taking place on Sunday, September 24, 2017 in the Greater Hamilton area, starting and finishing in the town of Dundas. 100% of the profits from this event goes to Share the Road’s advocacy work to make Ontario a safer place for people to ride their bikes. And we need awesome volunteers like YOU to help us make this fantastic event happen.

Background: Share the Road

The Share the Road Cycling Coalition is a provincial cycling advocacy organization working to build a bicycle-friendly Ontario. Since our launch in 2008, Share the Road has worked to unite Ontarians in support of cycling, build capacity among active transportation stakeholders and act as an effective partner, strong ally and political force.
As part of our work, we coordinate programs, events and advocacy efforts across the province, including our annual fundraising ride, Greg’s Ride: Ontario’s Ride for Safer Cycling.

Background: Greg’s Ride: Ontario’s Ride for Safer Cycling

In 2006, OPP Sergeant Greg Stobbart was killed while cycling on Tremaine Road in Milton. After Greg’s death, his wife Eleanor McMahon founded the Share the Road Cycling Coalition in his memory to advocate for safer roads for all Ontarians. For Greg’s Ride, we join together as a community to remember everyone who has been affected by cycling collisions, to celebrate the joys of cycling and to support the work of Share the Road in building safer, more accessible and more comfortable places to cycle in Ontario.
