Absolutely everyone!

More information about the Green Day…

The Green Day serves as the focal point for our ongoing Thames Valley Sustainable Operating Pathway (TVSOP) project and network.

TVSOP is a multidisciplinary network across the Thames Valley Deanery. We aim to examine and reduce, where possible, the environmental impact of our surgical and anaesthetic care from diagnosis through to recovery.

Speakers and schedule…

We have an exciting line up of internationally renowned speakers covering a wide-array of topics in sustainability and healthcare.

Notable confirmed Green Day 2025 speakers include:

1. Dr Paul Southall, Consultant in Anaesthesia, Sustainability Lead, Royal College of Anaesthetists.

2. Professor Richard Hixson, Consultant in Anaesthesia & Critical Care Medicine, Honorary Associate Professor, Physician Environmentalist, Designer of “CPDmatch” and Co-founder of “HealthCare Ocean”.

3. Professor Hugh Montgomery, Consultant Intensivist, Director of the UCL Centre for Human Health and Performance, founder of “Real Zero”, and co-chair of The Lancet Countdown.

And we have many more exciting speakers lined up! The full conference schedule will be released very shortly.

Regional Sustainability Quality Improvement Project (SusQIP) Proposal submissions…

Each year, we invite everyone to submit a regional sustainability quality improvement project (SusQIP) proposal ahead of the Green Day event.

All sustainability QI projects will be presented at the Green Day event, voted on by attendees and the winning project will be rolled out and implemented across the Thames Valley deanery. This is a fantastic opportunity to affect change at a regional level!

The annual SusQIP work is a key component of our ongoing Thames Valley Sustainable Operating Pathway project and wider network.

If you would like to submit a regional sustainability quality improvement project (SusQIP) proposal, please do so below!

The project proposal submission deadline is 17:00 on the 18th November 2025.

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me on “TVSOP@OXDAT.COM”.

Really looking forward to seeing you all at the Green Day!

Kind Regards,

Alex Boone
