2024 Around the World Embassy Tour Press Application

The Around the World Embassy Tour produced by Events DC is set to unfold on Saturday, May 4, 2024 for the ONE day a year when 60+ embassies open their doors to the city and share their culture with residents and visitors around the world.

Visitors “travel the world” as they experience the food, art, dance, fashion, music, innovations and manufactured goods from different countries. Each embassy decides what unique aspect of its country it wants to present to the public.

We extend a warm welcome to press outlets from Washington DC and across the globe and are delighted to offer approved members of the media complimentary Press Badges.

Before submitting your application, please take note of the following:

1. A press badge grants you the ability to move to the front of any line at participating embassies on May 4, 2024 in order to capture content for your outlet.

2. To arrange interviews with specific Events DC spokespeople or specific embassy spokespeople, please coordinate with our press team.

3. Press badges are exclusively for journalists, including writers, reporters, producers, photographers and cameramen. They are non-transferrable.

4. All decisions are final and are not subject to appeal.

5. Responses to press applications will be issued on the following dates:

  • Wednesday, April 24
  • Daily starting week of April 29

We look forward to your participation in capturing the magic of this year's Around the World Embassy Tour 2024! If approved, details about credential pick up and further instructions will be emailed to you at time of approval.
