AWARENESS IN ACTION, a program of Leadership, Education, Activism & Dialogue (L.E.A.D) Filipino, is a no-cost, eight week summer cultural leadership program geared toward Filipino and Filipina, and AAPI, college students in the San Jose/Silicon Valley area.  The program centers on leadership with core themes of local engagement, social justice, knowing your rights, and developing your social identity -- all through carrying awareness in your aksyon.  The program will meet on Mondays from 6:30 - 8:30pm at Asian American Recovery Services (AARS) in San Jose starting on Monday, June 25th and ending Monday, August 20th.  Throughout the course of the program, participants will engage in educational workshops, group discussions, go on ethno-exposure tours, and hear from guest speakers from a breadth of nonprofit, grassroots, and professional sectors in the South Bay.  If you have any questions or would like more information, please contact the Program Director Jessica Page at jay@leadfilipino.org.  Thank you for your interest!
