Faculty Recommendation

NBER's Pre-Doctoral Fellowship Program in Disability Policy Research, funded by the Social Security Administration and NBER, encourages research to deepen our understanding of the health, labor supply, and other behavioral and economic implications of disability and disability policy. The primary goal of the fellowship is to provide time and resources for independent research, with supervision from one’s dissertation advisor. A research paper or progress report on the proposed disability-related topic must be submitted by the end of the fellowship year.

Fellows receive a 12-month stipend, tuition support, and limited funds for travel and research expenses.
