Maryland Department of Transportation! Hold a hearing in Linthicum!
Dear friends:

Over the objection of local residents and elected officials, the plans for the Maglev have continued, with all proposed routes making its way through Linthicum. These plans will disrupt neighborhoods, increase pollution, and decrease property values, simply to allow people to get from Washington DC to BWI faster.

Sadly, while the Maryland Department of Transportation has announced that they will hold 5 town hall style meetings on this issue (including one in Washington DC), not one is in Linthicum, where this project will certainly effect. I have publicly called on MDOT and the Administration to have a hearing in Linthicum and the response has been "no". Considering what this plan does to our community, they owe us a meeting.

Residents of Linthicum deserve answers and will not be ignored! Please join me in signing this petition urging Governor Hogan and the Maryland Department of Transportation to hold a Town Hall in Linthicum to answer our questions! Signing this petition is not an anti-business move - it is a statement that our voices in Linthicum matter as much as all others.

Delegate Pamela Beidle

To: Governor Larry Hogan, Maryland Department of Transportation:

With yet another proposal for a Maglev in Maryland, the people of Linthicum deserve to have our voices heard. While there is no concrete plan for the Maglev, it is a guarantee that the Maglev will run through Linthicum, decreasing property values, and breaking apart neighborhoods. We, the undersigned request that MDOT have a public town hall meeting in Linthicum to answer our questions and hear our concerns.
