PNGAS Guard-Friendly Employer Application
The Pennsylvania National Guard Associations (“PNGAS”) is the only organization solely dedicated to the 19,438 members and more than 67,500 veterans of the Pennsylvania National Guard, spouses, and their families. PNGAS activities help ensure the Pennsylvania National Guard is fully funded, manned, equipped, and trained to perform their mission and that members and veterans get the benefits they have earned.  PNGAS operates the PNGAS Job Board to help members get family sustaining jobs: https://pngas.jobboardhq.com/

A PNGAS Guard Friendly Employer:

"A citizen who is good enough to shed their blood for this country is good enough to be given a square deal afterwards," paraphrasing Theodore Roosevelt

Many employers recognize, recruit, and use the value, skills and talents provided by military service and training entering the workforce. Likewise, Guard-friendly employers value leadership skills, diversity, commitment, discipline, training, flexibility/adaptability, and the "in-the-trenches/can-do" attitude and work ethic.

A number of employers that recruit employees with military service also have internal Guard, reserve and veterans' programs, enabling and encouraging the success of the veterans they have hired and promoted.

PNGAS has adopted the minimum standards for the PNGAS Guard Friendly Employer designation. While there is zero cost to apply and participate, there is great value, reward and honor in hiring members of the Pennsylvania National Guard, veterans and military families.

To help Guard Friendly Employers with sales, recruiting, and relationship-building, PNGAS will actively promote, market and recognize PNGAS Guard Friendly Employers throughout the year!
