TAMID Group at Maryland Application

Welcome to the 2016 application process for TAMID Group at Maryland! Please consider the following information carefully.

Submissions will be reviewed on a rolling basis, and select candidates will be invited to interview with a member or members of the Executive Board on Monday, September 26th, or Tuesday, September 27th. Applications are due no later than 5:00 PM on Saturday, September 24th. Any submission received after the deadline will not be considered.

Eligibility Requirements:
1. Education sessions for the Fall semester will be held on Wednesdays from 7:00-8:30 PM, beginning on September 28th. Attendance is mandatory for successful completion of the Education program.
2. Applicants must be willing to sign a Non-Disclosure Agreement as we work with sensitive company information.

    Section Two: Written Application

    Please read this section carefully and follow the directions. Applications will be evaluated both on their content and the applicant’s demonstrated ability to follow directions. The written application consists of three components, each of which has its own specified maximum length. Please place each component on its own page. On each page, include a header with your full name, declared major, and expected year of graduation: 1. Resume: one page maximum. ------- 2. Statement of interest: Selection to TAMID is based on past accomplishments, leadership ability, and commitment. In no more than 300 words, please describe your past and current contributions to extracurricular groups and outline your vision for your future contributions to TAMID. ------- 3. Startup Venture Transaction Analysis: The below three startups recently received Series A funding. Please pick one out of the three companies for your Startup Venture Transaction Analysis. In your assessment, which should be no more than 500 words, please answer whether you think the investors were right or not in investing in this company and identify several criteria to justify your decision. You can pick which investing criteria is/are most relevant to you based on research, prior experience and personal perspective. For example, if you are not a business student, include design, law, scientific, engineering etc. principles in your framework. Please include outside information!
