Musical Instrument Lessons Sign-Up
The Hudson School has a rigorous music department. In addition to general music classes provided with tuition, students may elect, for an additional fee, to study instrumental or voice during school hours in a free period, or in the case of 5th or 6th graders, in lieu of drumming. The cost of lessons varies depending on the choice made, level of the instrument study requested and the availability of the teacher.

Once parents approve of a student's choice of instrument, we will issue a music contract that must be signed by a parent or guardian and the student before music lessons can begin.

These 40-minute lessons are offered during the school day and after-school for 30 weeks. The charge for these classes depends on the group size:
$350 per year for group classes
$525 per year for semi-private classes
$1050 per year for private lessons

These rates are subsidized by the school.

We cannot promise every child private lessons, nor guarantee group or semi-private lessons since the class size is determined by the instrument and student’s schedule. Instruments are made available to our students through K&S music in New Jersey for a modest fee of $15-$25 per month, depending on the instrument.
