Thank you for your interest in establishing a
GALA Local Literacy Council. Local councils are community-driven groups committed to fostering literacy education, strengthening professional connections, and promoting equitable access to literacy opportunities across Georgia.
This form initiates the official registration process for your new council. You will be asked to provide contact information, your proposed council name and mission, first-year goals, leadership structure, meeting plans (minimum of four annually, per GALA and ILA expectations), and your community engagement strategy, including social media presence.
Once submitted, a member of the GALA Leadership Team will follow up to guide you through next steps, provide by-laws templates, and support your council’s launch.
