About design thinking:

Design thinking is defined as a systematic approach that prioritizes deep empathy for users’ desires, needs, and challenges to fully understand a problem and to develop more comprehensive and practical solutions. Many literatures showed many examples of successful use of the Design Thinking framework for improving patient experience. This method provides an in-depth understanding of the user’s feelings, challenges, and values. In addition, it also helps healthcare professionals to develop different types of the human-touch patient experience.

This 4-hour hackathon is about sketching together ideas for improving patient experience in HK. You don’t have to be an expert in Design Thinking. However, you need to build on your healthcare experience and make a difference by creating new solutions.

Target participants:

- Medical Doctors

- Nurses

- Allied Health Professionals

- Healthcare related Student

-Chronic disease clients and caregivers

-Health administrators
