Nowadays, parents, teachers, and child development practitioners are concerned with healthy nutrition for children. However, many factors in this era; such as technological advancement and parent’s busy daily routine, can hinder children’s access to playing with each other or their parents. They may turn to technology, which is not ideal for child development. Playing is one of the ‘natural nutrients’ for children, because it stimulates psychological and physiological development. This lecture will present the theoretical and practical aspects of the importance of play for children.
