PLEASE READ BEFORE SUBMITTING.
Our stage is primarily dedicated to the reading of original prose, poetry, essays, memoirs, before an audience. Story telling, music, dramatizations are less likely to be considered. When it comes to the length of your reading, there is no minimum time, but we ask that you keep it to a maximum of ten minutes to accommodate all readers.
As there is no cover charge, all accepted writers will receive a split of tips.
All accepted writers will be emailed two weeks before the show to to confirm their availability.
If you have not received confirmation two weeks before the show, please email honeytang@rocketmail.com with any questions.
Accepted writers will be expected to arrive at Bar Redux at 8:30pm on the night they are to perform. If you do not show by 8:30, you will forfeit your spot, unless you have communicated with the producers. Shit happens. Just let us know what your shit is.
The performance space IS outside, so please be sure to check the weather reports and dress appropriately.
