Would you like to be added to the waitlist for the Institute on Equity, Diversity, Inclusion offered Friday, August 4?
Join the UTLC and Sustained Dialogue (http://sustaineddialogue.org/) for a day-long institute regarding Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion in the Classroom. This Institute will provide faculty with opportunities to explore topics related to equity in today's classroom, from inclusive language to handling difficult conversations. Faculty will work with a skilled educator to develop tools and strategies for discussing topics, creating inclusive conversations, understanding aspects of identity, and "navigating classroom dynamics, advising/mentoring, and conflict." Breakfast and lunch will be provided.
As Faculty Orientation occurs the week before classes begin, it may be difficult for you to attend the whole event. The UTLC and the Teaching Innovations Office will provide follow-up sessions throughout the fall.

Please note, the Teaching Innovations Office will try to incorporate as many topics as possible. However, due to time constraints we may not be able to address all topics at Faculty Orientation.
