Mercy Meals:  2nd Saturday of each month
Blank Meals:  4th Saturday of each month
Hosting hours:  11am-2pm
Serving Hours:  11:30am-1:30

HOST DUTIES  
The host helps to set up and clean up the meal.  But most importantly, the host makes families feel welcome and engaging them in conversation about THEIR experience.  Please keep in mind, you are there to support current families, so please KEEP YOUR CONVERSATIONS FOCUSED ON THE CURRENT FAMILY you are speaking to instead of your experience.  Families may ask you to share about your experience which is fine, but please ensure that the focus of the conversation is returned to the current family.  Please do not burden families with political or religious agendas.  

**Please note:  Because our tiny babies are susceptible to germs and becoming sick, we appreciate your understanding and observance of the policies listed below.  We appreciate your efforts to keep our babies safe and healthy!

**Children attending meals at Mercy  
Healthy children (fever-free for 24 hours prior to the meal, free from cold symptoms) may attend meals in the Mercy NICU atrium where meals are served.

**Children attending meals at Blank
Because meals are served in the family lounge within the unit, children are NOT allowed to attend Blank’s meals.

**SHOULD YOU BECOME SICK
If you become sick (fever within 24 hours prior to the meal, cold symptoms, etc.), please cancel by texting Susan Selby as soon as possible at 515-441-0324.  Please do not worry--  we want you to cancel!  The meal will still take place with an alternate volunteer.
