It all started with a few friends from my school alumni getting to chat about how life has transformed due to the pandemic. Like most others, we felt uncertain when life would resume to normal. My good friends working overseas had concerns for their parents managing the situation, all by themselves. Those of us settled within the country also felt helpless with the randomness of the prevailing situation.  This is when the discussion moved to create an ecosystem of support, within the family.
BHEL has been a wonderful enterprise. There is so much pride in our parents in being a part of the nations’ post-independence initiative to thrust the economic and industrial development for the country. Many of them had joined the company right from its inception. They remained loyal, content with what life it offered and retired in the same soil. There was so much comfort, security and care being in the integrated township. Post-retirement many moved to their native lands with nostalgic memories of the good old days. What an era!!

The spirit of oneness, care and sharing during the good times flash in one moment. A generation has moved on but the feeling of oneness is forever strong.  We the children take pride to join hands once again to reach out to our dear parents who have stood by us all along to ensure what we are today. There is so much diverse expertise that the generations have gained.
What is the meaning of life if the knowledge gained is not of use to our near and dear at the time of need?
