DevFest CZ - Call For Proposals
Hello there!
Thank you very much for your interest in being our speaker.

DevFest CZ will happen on November 4th (talks) and November 5th (workshops). We have a 6-year-long tradition and aim to be more of a festival than yet another conference. The venue will be full of gadgets, geeky fun and even some role-playing. The afterparty will be heavily inspired by this year's Google I/O. Read more at

Why is it cool to speak at DevFest CZ?
✈️ We can cover most of accommodation and travel costs
πŸŽ™οΈ Exposure to up to 600 developers on site
πŸ“Ή We will record your talk and publish it on YouTube for additional exposure
🍽️ We will invite you to speakers' dinner before the conference and the afterparty should rock as well :)
πŸ‘ We will work with you to make the best presentation - we will share some tips before the conference and give you feedback from attendees after the conference

We are interested in experience-based talks. We will not accept proposals that are:
🚫 Just repeating documentation without your experience/lessons learned
🚫 Pitching/selling a company or a product. It's OK to mention your company, but it shouldn't be the main focus.
🚫 Recruitment talks to attract talent

We are interested in the following topics:
πŸ“± Mobile (Android, iOS, Firebase, ...)
🌐 Web (Polymer, PWAs, Angular, Dart, new standards, tooling, ...)
☁️ Cloud (TensorFlow, Big Data, Kubernetes, security, ...)
πŸ“Ÿ IoT (Android Things, Actions API, Android Wear, Chromecast, Arduino, ...)
πŸ’Ό Marketing & business skills targeted at indie developers or startups
πŸ™‹ Soft skills for developers

You can either submit a talk (~40 min) or a workshop (~2 hours). In case you would like to submit both formats, please fill out another form.
You can also submit the form multiple times if you have multiple topics and we will pick what best suits the conference.

The official conference language is English, but we won't force Czech speakers to speak in English if they are not comfortable with that. If you prefer speaking in Czech, fill the talk title & abstract in Czech language.

πŸ‘©πŸ‘¨Tip! We support diversity of our speakers and welcome underrepresented groups in tech such as women. We saw at Google I/O that a format of two co-speakers works really well. You can fill this form for two co-speakers.

We will give the chance to all CfPs to be submitted, but unfortunately not everyone will have the opportunity to stand on the stage. Deadlines:
πŸ—“ July 31 - closing CfP
πŸ—“ August 10 - we will contact everybody about the result

If you have any questions, don't hesitate to contact us at

Thank you once again!
