The Narthex Area is the first thing one sees when entering Bethany. It’s been the same design for about 20 years. Since it gives a first impression, our Narthex should reflect Bethany's identity including our beautiful and timeless liturgy, confident confession of faith, and the clear proclamation of Christ crucified. It is an excellent opportunity to portray the beauty and depth of the Church's past, made alive for today’s context. The Narthex area should also be a place where members and visitors alike might enjoy fellowship in an inviting, comfortable space.
Our goal will be to raise funds for any work independent of the budget, by providing plans and requesting donations. While there will certainly be diversity of opinions, this anonymous survey is intended to identify the congregation’s general thoughts and priorities regarding the Narthex’s current condition, its use, the message it communicates, and its look and feel.
