1st Sarratt Scout Group Application and Registration Form
Please complete this form in as much detail as possible. It acts as your Child's formal registration and entry on to our Joining List. We will acknowledge receipt of the registration and our Group Secretary will advise you of the status of the application. The form also serves as a gift aid registration form for you. Gift aid allows us to reclaim tax paid by you on any money paid to the Scout Group in the form of subscriptions or donations.

We are also required to deliver a census return every year which has questions relating to gender, ethnicity and disabilities. This information is held in a secure manner and is anonymised for submission when we make our return. Completing it now will save time and effort later on.
Which Section are you applying for
Beavers is for ages 6yrs to 8yrs and Cubs from 8yrs until 10yrs and then Scouts. We do have a little flexibility on ages to accomodate specific circumstances. We are open to boys and girls

Census Data Collection
It is important that scouting reflects the communities in which it operates and provides effective activities and opportunities for sectors of society. Whilst Scouting has made considerable strides in achieving this, in order to demonstrate our success we need to monitor our progress carefully and therefore collect accurate data. The categories we use on this form match those used by the UK National Census which means we will have a more accurate understanding of how closely Scouting truly reflects the communities locally

- Organise and run meetings including notice of specific meeting requirements and locations before, during and after
- Organise and run camps and other activities including notice of specific meeting requirements and locations before, during and after
- Make arrangements for parent rota for support of meetings
- To make you aware of activities within the community being organised by other community groups that may be of interest especially where these organisations support the Scout Group through fund raising or grant making in other ways such as supporting the group by dropping children off to meetings
- To provide input to the Annual Scout Association Census which is used for regulatory reporting around diversity, disabilities and the overall status of Scouting.
