Welcome and experience the rich Indian cuisine, culture and colors of India with fun activities @ India Day Festival in the heart of Downtown Greenville. In a full day event, the India Day festival will showcase the Indian heritage with yoga, food, fun and dance masti. Join us and take pride in making it a successful and memorable experience with lots of activities.
It is easy to enroll and be a part of the event. Interested volunteers can fill out the online application form. Once registered, you will receive a welcome email from the volunteer coordinator followed by details on open positions with your interested alignments. On the India Day festival, all volunteers will receive a bag with India Day volunteer t-shirt, badge, refreshments and task coordination orientation to familiarize with the process and other volunteers.

NOTE: All volunteers will be assigned responsibilities prior to the event, some opportunities might be available for walk-ins too. Please make sure to fill out the volunteer agreement prior to the event or volunteer service shift. Please contact the volunteer coordinator or at check in booth for any question or concern. Waivers will be available at check-in booth. Volunteers between the ages of 10-17 must have a parental consent form on file.
Volunteer check-in information:1) Volunteer Check-in location: TBD, will be communicated via email 2) Volunteer service request and process will be communicated through emails, meetings and also during orientation at check in booth. All volunteers are required to check in at least 30 minutes prior to assigned shifts. 3) Volunteer parking: India Day does not have designated parking for volunteers. 4) Parking is available nearby in city parking facilities and street parking based on availability and number of hours. 5) Parking is responsibility of the volunteer. It is highly recommended to park before coming to volunteer check in booth.

Additional Information: Volunteers are not permitted to drink alcohol prior or during their volunteer shift Volunteers are required to have their name badge visible during their volunteer shiftVolunteers between the ages of 10-13 should be accompanied by parents or guardian at all times, overlooking the child’s duties and participates as a volunteer.Volunteers under the age of 18 will be assigned duties with an adult volunteer of 21 years or older in the same position during the same shifts.
