Internship Basics ⭐

We offer internships of up to 9 months, starting as early as March/April and ending by October/November. The minimum duration is 3 months, but in some cases, this may vary based on specific projects or arrangements.

Here’s what you need to know:  
All interns must provide:  

  • E111 - European Health Insurance Card
  • Non-EC Nationals need to obtain a D.4.3 VISA from the Greek Embassy in your country of residence for travel and study purposes.

  • We offer free shared accommodation, daily buffet breakfast, and lunch six days a week (Sunday off).
  • Internships are full-time: 40 hours per week, 5 days on, 2 days off. The exception is Night Management, which is 36 hours per week, 4 nights on, 3 nights off.

Hotel internship placement (suits all levels and degrees) is based 40 hrs per week, 5 days, continuous or split shifts, during the day, evening or night based on rota schedule 7 days a week and according to the need of business. More specifically tasks include :  

1. Food and Beverage (50% of time approx) -  (Breakfast room & Bar) - Working in shifts involving all round jobs such as waitressing, food preparation and assistance, serving and cleaning tables, bar assistance and relevant food and beverage jobs.
2. Front Of House & Marketing (25% approx) - (Online Social Media Marketing, Reception, Guest Relations & Communications ) - Working in shifts based on eight hours per day; Those can be day, evening, night, continuous or split shifts. Tasks include: Online Social Media Marketing - INSTA, FB etc; replies to guest reviews online channels such as tripadvisor etc; Guest relations - dealing with international hotel guests; Reception & Reservations - assisting at reception & reservations.
3. Management and Sales  (25% approx) - depending on individual capabilities; Project Management : Management reports into Tourism, Personal development projects, Market research and Sales; learning how a hotel is managed; learning about entrepreneurship; see first-hand how a hotel operates and managed.

Night management internship  is based on 36 hrs per week, 4 nights On 3 Nights Off,  (suits advanced management interns, usually in their final year of study or during a masters) involves the following : 
Operations:
* To be available at all times to deal with a guest problem or a complaint.
* To ensure that late arrivals are checked in correctly and allocated a room.
* To ensure security measures and no unauthorized person has access to the hotel.
* To ensure that no unruly or rowdy guest behavior persists and take the appropriate measures in the event of unreasonableness by any guest or staff members.
​* To ensure that breakfast preparations are on time.
* To complete a night report detailing complaints and incidents and action taken.

Marketing :
* Contribute to Marketing Optimization via Marketing activities, blogs maintenance, link-building in targeted nations languages etc.
* Manage day-to-day activities and client relationships through skype or conference calls and presentations.
* Participate, design and deliver training activities or classes to the rest of the team. (Personnel and training activities)
* Present initiative
