The Writing Fellow application can be found here.
Carthage Writing Fellows support student writing by meeting with students one-on-one to discuss class writing assignments, personal essays, and other academic writing. They also create video and print resources to guide writers through the writing process. All potential Carthage Writing Fellows are required to share 2 letters of recommendation that highlight their strengths. One must be from a current Carthage faculty member familiar with their writing. The other can be any Carthage faculty or staff member. First year students can ask former high school instructors, especially if they worked or volunteered in peer tutoring programs in high school. Strong applicants provide recommendations that highlight their interest in developing as a writer, contributing to a robust academic culture, and/or the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
Applications and recommendations are due Nov. 27th.
