Hour of Code Sign Up Sheet
Thank you to all our unit PTA Presidents for leading your schools during this crazy year. The Irvine Unified Council PTA would like to thank you by offering a free hour of code learning session for any/all of your kids 3rd-8th grade. If you don't have kids in those grades, you can pass along this offer to one (1) other person of your choice by having them sign up here. Sign Up by November 27th.
What is Hour of Code?
The Hour of Code started as a one-hour introduction to computer science, designed to demystify "code", to show that anybody can learn the basics, and to broaden participation in the field of computer science. It has since become a worldwide effort to celebrate computer science, starting with 1-hour coding activities but expanding to all sorts of community efforts.
The Hour of Code takes place each year during Computer Science Education Week. The 2020 Computer Science Education Week will be December 7-13. We appreciate our local community sponsor, The Coder School of Irvine, for providing this amazing reward for our PTA leaders.
