To complement our ventures in developing an inclusive medical community, increase accessibility of resources, etc., we are supporting this through Medicine Encompassed's Mentorship Initiative - our ultimate aim of this initiative is to continue furthering students' affinity for medicine with guidance!

If you are a pre/medical student and you are interested in becoming a mentor for our organization, please fill out the following fields in this form to the best of your ability; your application will undergo a meticulous evaluation process to ensure that you are paired with the most appropriate mentee(s).

Please note that, depending on the ratio of mentors to mentees, it is possible that you may be paired with MORE THAN ONE mentee (you may select your preferences in the next section).

We will be accepting and reviewing all mentor applications on a ROLLING BASIS and this initiative will operate year-round. With this said, we will inform ALL MENTORS on the FIRST of each month regarding which mentee(s) they are matched with (will be done via email).

Because you will be communicating with your mentee(s) privately, this volunteer position is generally flexible and can accommodate to your schedule - the Directors of Mentorship will be checking on each mentor-mentee pair periodically for supervisory purposes, though the mentor will decide the expectations between themselves and their mentee(s).

WHAT IS MEDICINE ENCOMPASSED:
We are a student-run 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization aiming to promote awareness and increase accessibility for those interested in future medical careers through various mediums. With a team of STEM-oriented individuals that are also passionate about biology, we are seeking to demonstrate the wide scope of what medicine encompasses. Recognizing the importance of expanding the medical field, our organization believes in accepting people from all backgrounds under one common interest. By bridging the gap between medicine, underrepresented minorities, and students from low-income backgrounds, our team of like-minded individuals is dedicated to creating more resources and opportunities in all medical fields.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION
Position Title: Medicine Encompassed Mentor
Duration of Mentor Position: You are required to be a mentor for ONE FULL YEAR. For example, if you apply in September 2020 and are informed on the first day of October 2020, you will be a mentor for your assigned mentees until the first day of October 2021.

UPDATE: After much consideration and taking our other initiatives into account, the mentorship process will officially launch again in January 2021! Thank you for your patience and consideration :)
