Would you know what to do if you were faced with an active shooter situation?
Active shooter incidents are often unpredictable and can happen anywhere. This classroom-based training session could make the difference in how you react in an emergency situation and, ultimately, your survival and the survival of others. When an Active Shooter enters your vicinity, you must be prepared both mentally and physically to deal with the situation.
Participants in the training will learn how to:
• respond to someone with a weapon
• stop blood loss if someone has been injured
Both trainings will be instructed by Tom Wager, former police officer, emergency medical technician and volunteer firefighter, John Rainey, former Belle Valley fire chief, and Tom Clareson, Senior Consultant for Digital & Preservation Services at LYRASIS, the largest U.S. library and cultural heritage network.
