Rensselaer Faculty and Staff Workshop - Disability Services for Students and Academic Accommodations at Rensselaer
Compliance with the Americans with Disabilities Act is an institutional responsibility. Rensselaer faculty and staff are obligated to comply with state and federal laws that prohibit discrimination against students with disabilities. This interactive workshop will review the process students must undergo to obtain disability-related accommodations at Rensselaer. We will also discuss both faculty and student responsibilities with respect to academic accommodations. Participants will leave with a more thorough understanding of how students get approved for academic accommodations and how they can assist with ensuring all students have equal access in the classroom. Time will be allotted at the end to address specific questions regarding current or past circumstances in providing accommodations.

This workshop will be held on Monday, October 23rd from 11:00 am – 12:00 pm in the Beta Classroom - First Floor of Folsom Library.

Jaqualyn Iardella (Disability Services) will be presenting this workshop.

Registration is required. Please register by October 17th. Space is limited.
