Climate Restoration Petition
In recognition of Earth Day’s 50th Anniversary in April 2020, Santa Clara County Supervisor Dave Cortese, Earth Day Network, and the Foundation for Climate Restoration are calling on all cities and counties across the nation to take action in support of climate restoration.

Sign our petition today to send a message to your local representative that they too should pass a Climate Restoration Emergency Resolution.

To combat our climate crisis, we must demand the immediate mobilization of resources and labor at a massive scale to restore the climate for future generations.

Climate Restoration, a critical third pillar of climate action alongside mitigation and adaptation, that is gaining traction in the global climate conversation. There are scalable and financeable technologies available today to remove the excess trillion tons of atmospheric CO2 from the atmosphere. This declaration calls on everyone to commit to restoring a safe climate like that in which humans and our natural world evolved. Cities and counties can set the framework to safely restore a healthy climate through tangible Climate Restoration solutions.

Join our emergency mobilization effort and share within your community. Our planet, our livelihoods and the survival of generations to come are at stake!
