YEG COVID-19 Response / Help Your Neighbour!
**IMPORTANT**
We are deeply appreciative of volunteers who are willing to help pick up and deliver items to our vulnerable population. While we are trying to help, we must ensure that we as volunteer drivers do not become a portal for the virus transmission. We ask that you please review our policies carefully.
We will NOT be making direct contact with folks in need but instead using alternative methods like leaving things on people's doorstep. Please ensure you can sanitize your hands/deliver items in a sanitary way.
To clarify, if you have household members returning to Alberta next week, you are not to be a delivery driver once your family members return. This strict policy is in place to protect both volunteers and those asking for help in our community.
If you live in Edmonton, are healthy, and are willing to run errands for those who should not be leaving their homes (elderly, folks with preexisting conditions, etc.), please share your information below. We will keep a database of drivers to facilitate matching with individuals in your local area.
We are partnering up with the Edmonton Food Bank to help deliver food hampers.
As of Mar 27, 2020, pick-up times are Monday - Friday (either morning or afternoon), and Saturdays (morning only).
Policies for Delivery Drivers:
1. Must not have ANY cold or flu-like symptoms.
2. Must not have travelled outside of Alberta in the last 14 days.
3. Must not be currently living with/in close contact with anyone who is symptomatic OR in quarantine.
4. Must not be currently living with/in close contact with anyone who have returned from outside Alberta in the last 14 days.
5. Have proper means to clean/disinfect hands.
6. NO DIRECT contact between drivers and individuals seeking deliveries.
