I am interested in becoming a Judge for Technovation[MN]
Technovation[MN] is looking for technical, entrepreneurial, and marketing professionals to judge the 2019 Technovation Challenge. You must be available for Live Pitch judging on Saturday, May 11 from 12:30 - 4 p.m at the Minneapolis Convention Center. As a judge, you will also be required to review materials of up to 6 teams between April 27 and May 7. We estimate this will require about an hour for each team.

The Technovation Challenge inspires and enables teen girls around the world to dream up, design, code and pitch apps that address community problems. Working with professional mentors, all-girl teams develop a real-world combination of technical and entrepreneurial skills. By participating in this experience, you will help these teams gain confidence and possibly pursue education and careers in STEM fields, which are greatly in need of diversity.

This year, our Minnesota chapter has, more than 370 girls on 90 teams participating with 190 mentors.
Each Technovation teams will create:
• A 100 word description of their app
• A four minute video pitch
• A two minute video walkthrough of how to use the app
• A business plan (High School Senior Division only)
• App source code
These materials are evaluated against the 2019 Technovation Challenge Judging Rubric https://technovationchallenge.org/wp-content/uploads/judging-rubric.pdf

Becoming a Technovation[MN] judge is a unique opportunity to:
• Network with Minnesota’s tech community
