Sponsored by Coastal Protection and Restoration Authority (CPRA), this FREE program for 4th-12th graders includes a visit to the LSU Center for River Studies and same-day, hands-on classes and programs at LASM. All activities are aligned with the Louisiana Student Standards for Science.

Your trip will take place at two locations and will include:

  • Hands-On Stream Table at LASM (100 River Road South, Baton Rouge LA, 70802) – Your students will collaboratively design solutions to real-world environmental challenges by engaging with a state-of-the-art stream table.
  • Educational Movie at LASM – Your students will view a related, large-screen educational movie at LASM.
  • Picnic Lunch at LASM - Feel free to store your lunches at LASM and picnic on our covered patio or at other locations near the Mississippi River levee.

This FREE learning opportunity is available on a first-come, first-served basis through the 2025-2026 school year. For questions about scheduling, please contact Roman Landry at reservations@lasm.org or call 225-344-5272, ext. 119. We can't wait to welcome you and your students!
