We’re always looking for amazing parents (just like YOU!) to help make Olson even more otter-ly awesome.

A quick heads-up: We offer both one-time and ongoing volunteer roles — so whether you've got an hour or a whole day, there's a spot for you!
🔍 2025 Overview of Opportunities
👉 Room Parents: Support your child’s classroom and teacher throughout the year! From organizing parties to helping with classroom needs, you’ll be the go-to helper. Time commitment is typically 1–3 hours per month.
👉 Watch D.O.G.S. (Dads of Great Students): Dads, uncles, grandfathers — this one’s for you! Spend a full day at school helping out with arrival, lunchroom duty, hall monitoring, and even working with students in small groups. Shirt purchase required.
👉 Copy Cats: Love the hum of a copier? Teachers love our Copy Cats — volunteers who come in during the school day to help make copies and prep materials for classrooms. Flexible times available.
👉 Book Fair Helpers: Help set up, decorate, and run our Fall & Spring Book Fairs! It’s a blast, and shifts are typically 1–2 hours. Bonus: You get to see the kids light up when they find the perfect book.
👉 Picture Day Volunteers: Help keep things running smoothly while students get their school photos taken. Typically a half-day commitment in the fall and spring.
👉 Science Nights: Assist with our fun-filled, hands-on science nights! From helping at activity stations to greeting families, this is a great way to support learning and excitement.
👉 Parent Event Volunteers: We host a few special events throughout the year like Muffins with Misses and Donuts with Dudes — and we need helping hands for setup, serving, and clean-up.
