Adoption Application
HFAH does not guarantee that all applications will be approved. We reserve the right to choose the best adoptive applicant whom we feel will best suit our dogs. We evaluate all applicants on a case by case basis and often receive multiple applications for the same dog. Disapproval simply means that we looked at all parties involved and made the most qualified decision in regards to most appropriate application for the dog; and by no means is a reflection of the applicants' character. If concerns present themselves at any time during the adoption process, HFAH also reserves the right to reevaluate your application.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION!!
These dogs are in a rescue group because for one reason or another they have been put in a position of needing to be re-homed. The main purpose of this organization is to find responsible and reliable homes for all dogs placed in our care. These animals are thinking and feeling creatures and are depended on use to provide a loving, lifelong home for all their needs. Adopting a dog is a very important decision to make and one that affects not only you and your family, but the dog you decide to adopt. Millions of pets are euthanized every year because people do not take seriously the maintenance and necessary care involved of animals. Food, veterinary exams, yearly shots, treats and toys can be costly. Time and attention are major factors that also need to be considered. All dogs in our rescue have been taken to an approved vet for a wellness examination. Basic vaccinations are given, and spaying/neutering if necessary. All dogs are in good health upon adoption. If there are extenuating medical factors involved all are noted on the contract at signing. It is the responsibility of the new owner to provide additional vaccinations as necessary, and any preventative care required such as teeth cleaning, heartworm and flea/tick preventative. The adoption fee is used to provide medical care, food, shelter, and advertising for the dogs. THE FEE IS NON-REFUNDABLE. The fee must be paid upon signing the contract. If, for any reason, you can no longer provide care to the dog you adopt, it must be returned to this organization. Please understand that the average dog has a life span of 12 to 15 years.
Are you willing to commit to this dog for its life time? Are you willing to provide the necessary love and attention as well as the necessary food, training, vet care, etc. required to maintain a happy pet?

If you have any questions regarding the care and maintenance of a pet please let the organization know. We will be more than happy to help with any questions you may have. It is extremely important that once a dog is placed in a new home that it remains there and that all parties involved are satisfied. If you have any questions or concerns about adopting a pet it is imperative that you finalize them before adopting. Please submit these questions via email hopingfurahome@gmail.com
