Safety Care for Families Upcoming Trainings
Safety-Care for Families is a free training that is adapted from the standard Safety-Care core curriculum and designed to provide effective training to family members and others who provide support in a home to individuals with disabilities.  The training focuses largely on crisis prevention, de-escalation, and safety techniques for use in the home or community.

Essential Skills Training 1 and 2 (5 hours of training across 2 training dates) Focuses on:

Incident prevention
Supportive environment
Family and caregiver behavior
Therapeutic use of reinforcement
Antecedents to challenging behavior
Incident minimization
De-Escalation
Family safety plan

This training is conducted by 2 Ann Arbor School District BCBAs (Board Certified Behavior Analysts)
