The CIW is headed to New York City from March 11th-15th for the historic 5-day Freedom Fast outside the office of Nelson Peltz. This decision came out of conversations about how Wendy's leadership, namely Board Chairman and major investor Nelson Peltz, rely on the silence of farmworkers in their supply chain to continue business as usual. Twenty years after the 30-day hunger strike during the Taco Bell Boycott, the CIW will be making sure that Peltz hears loud and clear the voices of farmworkers and thousands of consumers in demanding an end to sexual violence and slavery in the fields!
Allies from Florida are mobilizing to New York City to join thousands of farmworkers and supporters to demand farmworker justice from the final fast food holdout. You don't want to miss this opportunity to be with farmworkers and their allies.
