Heaven Gallery: Call for Submissions. Deadline 1/15/2020 for programming 2021/22
Heaven Gallery is a non-profit organization in Wicker Park that is a multi-disciplinary arts space that mentors, and presents emerging artists and musicians. The gallery is committed to social justice work through its racial equity policy for a 60% ALAANA (African, Latinx, Asian, Arab, and Native American) majority Board of Directors and artist presented.
Submissions will be considered for Heaven Gallery's exhibition programming between September 2021–November 2022. Programming will be compliant with the current COVID-19 restrictions. Our precautions include: private exhibition openings/gallery hours with limited capacity, mask requirements and virtual artist talks.
Strong proposals will include multiple artists from diverse backgrounds (age, race, gender) with compelling visuals and a strong exhibition statement. Curated, group shows will be favored over solo exhibitions. Given COVID-19, Heaven Gallery requires all exhibiting artists to be confirmed by the proposal submission deadline of 1/15/2020.
