The Arizona Latino Media Association invites you to apply for limited scholarships for the Spring 2026 college semester. The scholarships are for incoming and continuing journalism students attending an Arizona university or college. Awards range from $500 - $2,500. To be considered you must complete this application and provide supplementary material by December 31, 2025. The scholarship will be awarded directly to students. The funds are not subject to restrictions imposed by state law. The scholarships are aimed at students seeking to become journalism and media professionals.
Minimum criteria:
1. Must be an incoming freshman to an Arizona community college/university or a current university student.
a. First-year student applicants must be a graduate of an Arizona high school and enrolled at an Arizona post-secondary educational institution.
2. Applicants must be full-time undergraduates or graduate level for Spring 2026, carry a minimum of 12 credit hours or be completing a minimum of 24 credit hours in an academic year.
3. Must have a minimum 3.0 cumulative grade point average.
4. Financial need will be considered one of the factors in the selection process.
Selection Process: Selection is based upon the scholarship application, academic record/transcript, extracurricular activities, and a scholarship essay. You may want to write your essay in advance on a document and then cut and paste the essay into the form when you submit your scholarship application.
